Ain't we Human?
By Jorge Andrés Colonia.
I had struggled that much, that I should ask ain't we human? why health is a privilege if we all are human beings, health should be a right. I know folks who have died waiting for a pipe of oxygen or for insulin because of their pockets were not able to cover this fund, why? if every life is worthy, why do we have to choose who to save and who to let die? I'm afraid of cancer because it is the reaper of my folks; it comes without saying and it makes a mess of the poor, the worker, or the black because it knows we don't have the right, it knows we must ask in the hospital "ain't we human?" this ain't progress, this ain't welfare.

ResponderEliminarHuman rights are ignored by politics or other people who doesn't want to take care of people, even if that's his duty. For example, when students, affected people, or any person who have a need, go out to the streets to protest against the direction that government carries. I think they believe that we are not suitables to any type of help, because they just see the way in which they can get enough money for themselves and they aren't interested for the others who really need satisfy their basic rights.
ResponderEliminarThe text exposes something to reflect on, society today increases in aspects such as social inequalities and this means that only a few are privileged of something that should be the right of all.

ResponderEliminarI think that our rights are violated every time, and people usually forget that something that should be always on our minds, we are all humans, i treat the other like i want to be treat and i always need to have empathy.
There are many stereotypes in our society that some lives have less value than others, but this should not be because in the end we are all human.
ResponderEliminarI think that society has followed the law of the strongest, and the amount of money determines how important you are to society; unfortunately that's the way the world works.
